Amrita Rao

 A Psychology graduate, born on June 17, 1981 in Mumbai, Amrita Rao made her Bollywood debut with ‘Ab Ke Baras’ and later gained prominence with Ken Ghosh’s ‘Ishq Vishq’ opposite Shahid Kapoor. Even if her role in ‘Love U… Mr. Kalakaar!’ (released in May, 2011) got mixed reviews and went largely unseen, Amrita looks set to make a strong comeback with David Dhawan’s much delayed project ‘Hook Ya Crook’.

 Amrita Puri has made her Bollywood debut in 'Aisha', as Shefali Thakkur, a behenji whom Aisha (played by Sonam Kapoor) helps to go hip. Daughter of HDFC Managing Director, Aditya Puri, Amrita does occasional modelling in addition to writing for theatre plays.
